  • Underground Jiu Jitsu in Dousman is raising funds for the Women Veterans Independent Network to help women veterans facing homelessness—owner Natalie Kranzman and instructor Tori Sterner lead the campaign with a seminar and ongoing donations. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Waukesha County is remembering service members who died in wars, including the Vietnam and Korean conflicts, with commemorations ending Nov. 15 (the observance honors their sacrifice).  Waukesha Times

HEALTH NEWS

  • Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow announced in a video posted Nov. 6 that his recent biopsy returned positive for cancer eight months after a 12-hour surgery for Stage 4 mucinous adenocarcinoma — marking a new phase in his treatment. He said his scans had improved and he was ready to pursue another treatment track while continuing his fight against the disease.  Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
