- ➤ Waukesha native and TV host Carmen de la Paz is named grand marshal for this year's Christmas parade on Sunday, December 7 at 4 p.m. downtown—she has spent years making local memorial art and recently finished a sculpture honoring community loss. TMJ-4

- ➤ Local law enforcement will hold the 'Shop with Cops' event on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8:15-11 a.m. at Spring Creek Church where children in grades K-5 will shop with officers at Walmart and enjoy breakfast (including Santa). - ➤ On Time Heating & Cooling donated $7,000 to Hope Center this fall by giving $500 from each furnace and air conditioner installation in October—an effort inspired by owner Shane Herro honoring his breast cancer survivor mother. - ➤ On November 12th, the Waukesha School Board voted 8 to 1 to close Bethesda, Hawthorne and the Whittier building by the end of the school year to address declining enrollment and repurpose Horning Middle School into a K-8 STEM facility; dual language programs will move to other sites.
