COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Waukesha community gathered on Friday, Nov. 21 for a remembrance ceremony and dedicated a new memorial at Grede Park for the victims of the attack—marking four years since the incident.  FOX6
  • Brookfield Winter Farmers Market is bringing new life to Brookfield Square mall food court today as local vendors set up booths with fresh products and crafts (vendors include local food providers and artisans). EDUCATION NEWS

  • On November 12, the School Board voted to close Bethesda, Hawthorne and the former Whittier schools as part of its long-term plan, leaving many families unsure of next year's placement options. La Casa de Esperanza Charter School is expanding its traditional and dual-language programs for the 2026–27 school year—offering education from K4 to 7th grade and a possible 8th grade if enough families show interest.  The Waukesha Freeman

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • FDA inspections in the third quarter found that four companies in Waukesha County received citations for device-related procedures, which marks a 33.3% increase from the previous quarter—each company must take voluntary action to correct its operations—. The findings come from routine FDA reviews aimed at ensuring product safety.  Waukesha Times

SPORTS NEWS

  • High school football state championships ended Friday, November 21st, with Arrowhead winning the Division 1 title by defeating Bay Port by a score of 18 to 15 and Grafton clinching the Division 3 title with a game winning field goal in the final minute. Other divisions saw wins from teams including West De Pere, Mayville, Winneconne, Darlington and Kenosha St. Joseph—each capturing a state title.  FOX6
