Mukwonago business owner Calaya Kostecki of Bee Well Cafe revived an online petition that has gathered nearly 900 signatures—she calls for changes at the local chamber after a dispute over her planned entertainment for the Midnight Magic holiday event.
Kostecki, who remains a chamber member, said she wants the organization to work more inclusively with local businesses.

After 18 years of blues music and community fundraising, the Waukesha Rotary Bluesfest is shutting down permanently as declining attendance and a damaging rainstorm have made the event unsustainable; it will not return in August 2026.
The annual festival—held at Naga-Waukee Park—brought local fans together with music and art shows.
