The Waukesha Christmas Parade returns this Sunday at 4 p.m. in downtown as 80 businesses and community groups celebrate the season and honor the memory of those lost in the 2021 tragedy (Bereaved Together joins for the first time to support families and mark the occasion).
Waukesha BluesFest may return after the Rotary Club stepped away, as its promoter is exploring options to revive the summer festival at Naga-Waukee Park in Delafield next year.
On Nov. 12, the School Board approved closing Bethesda, Hawthorne, and former Whittier elementary schools as part of a long-term plan to adjust building capacity for a smaller student population.
The district will redraw boundaries and detail transportation eligibility before winter break.

New Years Eve at Noon
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. — Betty Brinn Children's Museum — $10 – $20 — Celebrate the New Year early with a family-friendly dance party and fun activities including a noon beach ball drop.
